Our Story

Angie and Marie’s paths crossed in 2011 while working for a home infusion pharmacy in Texas. Combining their strengths and creating an incredible synergy, they transformed a small, regional home nutrition program into an award-winning nationwide success. Dedicated to excellence in patient care, they have also successfully collaborated with pharmacy teams, revenue cycle management departments, audit recovery teams, and sales, among others.

Taking a natural next step, they joined forces again to create Salt & Lyte Nutrition Solutions. Excited to share their knowledge and skills with the home infusion industry, their vision is to nurture a trusted partnership with home nutrition support providers and vendors. This partnership aims to pave the way for patients to experience excellence in all facets of their journey.

Marie E. Groves, MS, RD, CNSC, LD

Home Infusion Nutrition Revenue Cycle, Sales & Marketing Leader

A co-owner and founder of Salt & Lyte Nutrition Solutions, Marie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from the University of Central Arkansas (UCA).  She completed her Dietetic Internship at Mississippi State University and went on to finish her Master’s degree In Dietetics at UCA. A Certified Nutrition Support Clinician for over fifteen years, Marie is a member of the American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN) and the National Home Infusion Association (NHIA).

Marie began her career as the Inborn Errors of Metabolism & Genetics Dietitian at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Early on, she found her passion for helping patients and caregivers realize there is hope along a challenging path. In 2004, Marie was recruited to home nutrition support sales and has since served the home infusion industry for over 20 years.

Her expertise is multi-faceted, spanning sales, clinical operations, and revenue cycle process and issue resolution. Marie’s role as the National Sales Nutrition Support Manager and then Director of Nutrition for a national home infusion company, served as a highlight of her career. This path included grass-roots development of a nutrition support program focused on excellent patient care and cost-effective strategy that earned ACHC’s prestigious Distinction in Nutrition Support in 2021. Marie directed this program with her now business partner Angie Hutton Walston. Sharing many years of synergistic collaboration, Marie & Angie are excited to join forces to support the home infusion industry they so compassionately serve. Marie and her family made their home in Rockwall, Texas for many years. They now live amongst the palm trees in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She shares her life with her husband JoJo and their daughter LJ, an aspiring Marine Biologist. But, the real bosses of the house are their three dogs, seven fish and one tarantula! An avid nature lover, Marie enjoys all that South Florida offers by way of ocean, wildlife and beautiful weather! She is the current Next Generation Ministries Coordinator at First United Methodist Church of FTL where she plans fellowship and service events for the church family and community. With faith at the foundation of her life, Marie’s driving force is to be a light to those around her striving to make a difference every day.

Home Infusion Clinical Nutrition Operations Leader

Angie Walston, co-owner and founder of Salt & Lyte Nutrition Solutions, brings over 25 years of expertise to the field of nutrition support. She earned her bachelor’s degree and clinical training at the University of Texas Southwestern School of Medical Professionals and has proudly held the advanced credential of Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) since 2011.

Angie's career began in acute care before transitioning to home infusion in 2010. She finds the extraordinary in caring for nutrition support patients at home, recognizing their unique challenges and fears. It’s a humbling privilege to be part of their journey to restored health.

Angie served as Clinical Nutrition Operations Manager for a large home infusion provider. There she directed a program, along with now business partner Marie Groves, focused on profitable, cost-effective strategies while prioritizing excellent patient care. The program proudly achieved the coveted ACHC Distinction in Nutrition Support in 2021. Angie promotes the future of nutrition support by presenting annual workshops for universities, internships and pharmacy teams. A natural educator, she desires to spark enthusiasm for the art and science of parenteral nutrition in the next generation of medical professionals. Angie is excited to partner with Marie Groves to share their extensive experience with the home infusion industry through the launch of Salt & Lyte Nutrition Solutions! Based in Texas, Angie shares her life with the "greatest husband on earth," and has two daughters pursuing exciting career goals. Beyond her work, Angie is a tennis enthusiast, enjoys furniture refinishing, and actively volunteers in children’s ministry and fellowship event planning at her church. Grounded in faith, Angie’s life and career passions are simply to nourish others physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
